Revelation Summary

Rev 1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ as God Almighty. Isaiah 41:4.

Rev 2:1-7: Letter to the church in Ephesus – Return to your first love for Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6:24.
Rev 2:8-11: Letter to the church in Smyrna – Do not fear tribulation. John 16:33.
Rev 2:12-17: Letter to the church in Pergamos – Stop your idolatry and sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18.
Rev 2:18-29: Letter to the church in Thyatira – Stop allowing a false teacher that promotes idolatry and sexual immorality to seduce you. 2 Peter 2:1.
Rev 3:1-6: Letter to the church in Sardis – Wake-up! Mark 13:32-33.
Rev 3:7-13: Letter to the church in Philadelphia – Continue persevering and you will avoid the trial that comes upon the earth. James 5:7-8.
Rev 3:14-22: Letter to the church of the Laodiceans – Your wealth has made you complacent and you have lost your testimony. Open the door of your life to Jesus Christ and regain a relationship with God. Luke 18:18-27.

Rev 4: The throne of God in heaven is described. Isaiah 6:1-3.

Rev 5: Rejoicing in heaven due to the Son being worthy to take the sealed scroll from God the Father. Hebrews 3:1-6.

Rev 6:1-2: 1st seal is opened revealing a warrior white horse.
Rev 6:3-4: 2nd seal is opened revealing a killing fiery red horse.
Rev 6:5-6: 3rd seal is opened revealing a famine black horse.
Rev 6:7-8: 4th seal is opened revealing a death pale horse.
Rev 6:9-11: 5th seal is opened revealing believers slain historically.
Rev 6:12-17: 6th seal is opened revealing the start of the wrath of God.

Rev 7:1-8: Twelve thousand Jewish believers from each tribe are sealed for protection from Satan and the wrath of God. Ezekiel 9:4. Ephraim and Dan are left out due to calf worship. 1 Kings 12:28-30.
Rev 7:9-17: Believers slain during the great tribulation are revealed in heaven. They are comforted by God with the Lamb shepherding them. Psalm 23:1; John 10:11-16.

Rev 8:1-6: 7th seal is opened revealing 7 angels with trumpets.
Rev 8:7: 1st angel sounds with fire thrown to the earth and a third of trees and all grass is burned up. Isaiah 24:6.
Rev 8:8-9: 2nd angel sounds with fire thrown into the sea with a third of sea creatures dying and a third of the ships being destroyed. Habakkuk 3:8.
Rev 8:10-11: 3rd angel sounds with fire thrown onto a third of the rivers and springs causing many to die. Psalms 78:44.
Rev 8:12: 4th angel sounds with a third of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened. Isaiah 13:10.
Rev 8:13: Angel announces that the remaining 3 angel trumpets will bring extreme tribulation to the inhabitants of the earth.
Rev 9:1-12: 5th angel sounds with demons being released from the bottomless pit to torment people on earth for 5 months. Joel 2:25.
Rev 9:13-20: 6th angel sounds with 4 fallen angels being released from the river Euphrates along with 200 million demons to kill a third of mankind on the earth. The remaining people did not repent.
Rev 10: A mighty angel with the remaining sealed book declares the 7th angel will finish the prophecies declared by the prophets. John is ordered to eat the book and told to prophesy. Ezekiel 3:1.
Rev 11:1-14: Two witnesses begin prophesying for 3.5 years while Jerusalem is overrun with Gentiles. At the end of 3.5 years Moses and Elijah are murdered but are resurrected from the dead and ascend to heaven. Zechariah 4:11-14; Malachi 4:4-6; Matthew 17:3.
Rev 11:15-18: 7th angel sounds with acclamations and worship of God in heaven.

Rev 11:19: The ark of His covenant is revealed in heaven. His covenant was made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Genesis 17:19; Exodus 2:24; Leviticus 26:42; 2 Kings 13:23; 1 Chronicles 16:16-18.
Rev 12:1-2: Israel is ready to birth the Messiah. Daniel 9:24-25; Micah 5:2.
Rev 12:3-4: Satan tries to destroy the Messiah. Matthew 2:16-18.
Rev 12:5: The Messiah ascends to heaven and will rule the nations with a rod of iron. Genesis 17:22; Acts 1:9; Psalm 2:9.
Rev 12:6: Israel flees into the wilderness for 3.5 years. Matt 24:16-20.
Rev 12:7-9: Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven. Isaiah 14:12.
Rev 12:10-12: Rejoicing in heaven over Satan being cast out. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth as Satan has great wrath. Isaiah 14:17.
Rev 12:13-16: Satan tries to destroy Israel, but Israel escapes by flight to the wilderness for 3.5 years despite a flood. Matthew 24:16-20.
Rev 12:17: Unable to destroy Israel, Satan turns his attention to believers who have a testimony of Jesus Christ to fight them.

Rev 13: The anti-Christ and false prophet are revealed with the world worshipping Satan. Power will be given to the anti-Christ to overcome the Saints and to rule the nations for 3.5 years. Everyone who falls for the delusion will worship the image of the anti-Christ and will receive a mark that allows them to live economically. 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12.

Rev 14:1-5: The sealed 144 thousand Jewish believers are with Jesus Christ on Mount Zion. Matthew 24:22.
Rev 14:6-7: Another angel flies through heaven proclaiming the Gospel to people on the earth. Matthew 24:14.
Rev 14:8: Another angel declares the destruction of Babylon.
Rev 14:9-11: Another angel declares that whoever worships the anti-Christ will suffer the wrath of God. Ephesians 5:6; Colossians 3:6.
Rev 14:12-13: Believers are blessed who die from now on. Matthew 5:10-12.
Rev 14:14-20: Jesus Christ executes the wrath of God on the earth. Joel 3:13.

Rev 15:1: 7 angels with the last 7 plagues are revealed in heaven.
Rev 15:2-4: Believers who have victory over the anti-Christ sing to God the song of Moses and of the Lamb. Deuteronomy 32.
Rev 15:5-8: The 7 angels with the 7 golden bowls of the wrath of God leave the temple in heaven.
Rev 16:1: The angels are ordered to pour out the bowls of wrath onto the earth.
Rev 16:2: 1st angel pours out wrath that causes sores upon those who worship the anti-Christ. Exodus 9:9.
Rev 16:3: 2nd angel pours out wrath on the sea and all sea creatures die. Exodus 7:20-21.
Rev 16:4-7: 3rd angel pours out wrath on the rivers and sings to God. Isaiah 49:26.
Rev 16:8-9: 4th angel pours out wrath on the sun and people are scorched and blaspheme God. Ezekiel 20:47.
Rev 16:10-11: 5th angel pours out wrath on the kingdom of the anti-Christ and they are in darkness with extreme pain from sores. Exodus 10:20.
Rev 16:12: 6th angel pours out wrath on the river Euphrates and it dries up.
Rev 16:13-16: Satan, the anti-Christ, and the false prophet seduce rulers and their people to gather at Armageddon. (Megiddo was important in the ancient world. It guarded the western branch of a narrow pass on the most important trade route of the ancient Fertile Crescent, linking Egypt with Mesopotamia and Asia Minor. Rev 16:17-21: 7th angel pours out wrath and the worst earthquake in history occurs. Islands and mountains are moved. Great hail falls. Exodus 9:13-25.

Rev 17:1-6: Mystery Babylon or false religion with pagan goddess worship is described. Jeremiah 7:18. False religions have always martyred followers of Jesus Christ throughout history.
Rev 17:7-13: Mystery Babylon or false religion has been supported by political powers and people throughout history. False religion will be centered in Rome and supported for a time by the anti-Christ.
Rev 17:14: The final political power will make war with Jesus Christ but will be destroyed.
Rev 17:15-18:24: The kingdom of anti-Christ will betray and destroy false religion Babylon and the city of Rome in one hour by fire. People around the world will be saddened by the destruction of Rome and religion as their idols and ceremonies will become meaningless.
 

Rev 19:1-5: Great multitude in heaven praises God for the destruction of false religion on the earth.
Rev 19:6-10: The marriage of the Lamb is announced. The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Matthew 22:2-14.
Rev 19:11-16: Description of Jesus Christ returning to strike down the rebellious nations with the wrath of God. Psalm 110:5.
Rev 19:17-21: Angel gathers all birds to Armageddon to devour slain rebellious people. The anti-Christ and false prophet are captured and thrown into the lake of fire. Isaiah 66:24.
Rev 20:1-3: Angel comes down from heaven and binds Satan in the bottomless pit for a thousand years. Matthew 8:28-32; Jude 1:6.

Rev 20:4: Judgment of Israel commences. Matthew 19:28. Those who were beheaded for their testimony of Jesus Christ, not worshipping the anti-Christ, and not taking the mark of the anti-Christ rule and reign with Jesus Christ for a thousand years. Revelation 14:13.
Rev 20:5-6: The first resurrection is blessed as the second death has no power. Resurrected Saints will rule with Jesus Christ for a thousand years. The lake of fire is the second death. Revelation 21:8.
Rev 20:7-10: After a thousand years, Satan is released from the bottomless pit and goes out to deceive the nations. The deceived nations surround Jerusalem but are destroyed by fire from heaven. Satan is cast into the lake of fire that has the anti-Christ and the false prophet with their torment being forever. Isaiah 14:16.
Rev 20:11-15: The great white throne judgment is revealed with the dead outside of the message of Jesus Christ being judged according to their works. Death and Hades are cast into the lake of fire along with anyone not written in the Book of Life. Romans 1:20.

Rev 21: The new heaven and earth is revealed where there is no more death, sorrow, crying, and pain. The New Jerusalem is described as coming down from heaven with twelve gates named after each tribe of Israel and twelve foundations named after each Apostle. There is no temple inside the New Jerusalem as the Father and the Son are the temple. There is no need for the sun as the glory of God illuminates the New Jerusalem. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. John 8:12 & 9:5. Everything will be pure and holy. Isaiah 65:17 & 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13.
Rev 22:1-5: A pure river of life comes from the throne of God for the nations. The tree of life grows along the river of life for the nations to eat from. The servants of God will see Him and reign with Him forever. Ezekiel 47:1-12; Zechariah 14:8.

Rev 22:6-20: The words of this prophecy are true and faithful. Everyone who mediates on the words of this prophecy are blessed. The churches described in chapters 2 and 3 are reminded that Jesus Christ is coming quickly. All believers will be rewarded according to their works. But, all sorcerers, sexually immoral, murderers, idolaters, and liars will not be in the New Jerusalem. A warning is given to everyone who may add, subtract, or ignore the prophecy of the book of Revelation. Deuteronomy 12:32.
Rev 22:21: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Romans 16:20 & 16:24; 1 Corinthians 16:23; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Galatians 6:18; Philippians 4:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:28; 2 Thessalonians 3:18; Philemon 1:25.
