Page 8: He says: "Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I - I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior."

Note: Jesus Christ is the Savior according to the New Testament.

Titus 1:4 To Titus, a true son in our common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

Mat 7:22-23 "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'"

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,

Page 8: We can look to him, and him alone, for our salvation. - Isaiah 43:10, 11.

Correction: True Christians will look to Jesus Christ for their salvation.

Luke 2:27-30 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: "Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation

Acts 4:12 " Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Hebrews 2:2-4 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every

transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

Page 14: Yielding to that influence, translators and copyists - some eagerly, others reluctantly - began to remove God's own personal name, Jehovah, from his inspired Word in the thousands of places where it appeared.

Note: The Watchtower omits the character of God being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Page 15: He also instructed his followers: "Make disciples of people of all the nations, ... teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you."

Page 14: It alerted Bible students in that part of the world to the fact that world-shaking events would come with the end of the Gentile Times in 1914, and indeed they did! (Luke 21:24)

Correction: True world-shaking events did not occur in 1914.

Revelation 6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

Page 16: One of the principal objectives of the Bible is to help people come to know the true God. (Exodus 20:2-7; 34:1-7; Isaiah 52:6)

Note: The main objective of the New Testament is for people to know Jesus Christ.

Acts 17:2-3 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ."

Page 16-17: God had his personal name included in the Bible more than 7,000 times. He wants people to know that name and the qualities of the One who bears it. - Malachi 1:11.

Note: The name of Jesus is the name stressed in the New Testament.

1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Page 17: In recent years, although Bible translations retain the names of such pagan deities as Baal and Molech, with increasing frequency they are removing the personal name of the true God from translations of his inspired Word.

Note: The Watchtower never stresses the name of Jesus.

John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Page 17: Although the divine name appeared in older translations of the Hebrew Scriptures in most languages, newer translations often eliminate it or relegate it to a marginal notation.

Note: The Watchtower relegates the name of Jesus out of their magazines.

John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Page 17: In The New Testament and Psalms in Zulu (1986 version), the title God ( uNkulunkulu) was used interchangeably with a personal name ( uMvelinquangi) that Zulus understand to refer to 'the great ancestor who is worshipped through human ancestors.

Note: The Watchtower never places importance on the name of Jesus.

John 20:30-31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Page 17: An article in the magazine The Bible Translator, of October 1992, reported that in preparing the Chichewa Bible that is to be called Buku Loyera, translators were using Chauta as a personal name to take the place of Jehovah.

Note: The Watchtower does not recognize the significance of the name of Jesus.

1 John 3:23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

Page 17: Is it true that if people make petitions to a "Supreme Being," then whatever name they use for the "Supreme Being" is a valid equivalent for the personal name Jehovah, regardless of what else their worship may involve? Definitely not!

Note: Petitions to God are to be made in the name of Jesus.

Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Page 19: The churches of Christendom generally teach that the human soul is spirit, that it leaves the body at death, and that it is immortal.

Note: Jesus Christ also taught that the soul leaves the body at death.

Luke 16:22-23 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."
